HI SiteOrigin,
our website uses SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle tool: Site Origin Google Maps
This week, after latest updates, our embedded Google Map throws error:
“This Page can’t load Google Maps correctly. Do you own this website?
I researched and followed all the guidance I could find here on the forum, and also on stack overflow, and on Google documentation. The solution in all cases was to create a Google Billing Account, and generate a Google Maps API key so that the quota of use could be monitored by Google.
I’ve done that part: created the account, project, and enabled the Maps embed API and Javascript API and set the Referrer url in the Google API restrictions to our site’s URL, and so forth. And I do have a generated API key.
Yet, our Google maps embedd from the SiteOrigin Google Maps widget is still showing the same error. Other support posts here simply stated: “Once you’ve generated the API, simply add it to your Google Maps widget.”
I’ve tried adding a fresh instance of the widget, but see no field or way to paste in the API Key. Please help, any suggestions would be welcome. Our live site is showing this error, and my supervisors want it fixed asap.
Many thanks,
CautiousEditor.
